listening party

interesting interview here about one man's opinion on the state of the music industry. my biggest qualm with what he's saying is that "we" don't feel like music should be free but i most certainly don't feel like i should be paying an amount for music that provides the next look of my favorite artist on MTV Cribs. if you want me to pay you a reasonable amount of money for hard work that you put in on the creation of something no one else could do, and you get me to bang my head? have at it, but you're gonna have to move in down the street. take your expensive CDs, ridiculous tickets costs, and your 6 cars and get lost. power to the pirates.

history in the making

no one really knows who originally said "history is written by the winners", but will the power of the internet (myfaceblog) allow the "losers" to have a say in things or will the old guard idea of book publishing still force one side of every story on our children?
